Combining my two favourite things… hunting for nature on a woodland walk, followed by building a den!
In a small group, we meet for a short walk and use all our senses to hunt out local wildlife. Can we track a badger using pawprints and poo and find it’s Sett? Maybe a fox or a hedgehog? What are the trees doing at this time of year? Can we find some flowers or fungi or maybe a little woodland sorrell to pick and eat?
When we find a good spot, get ready to get building! Using the natural resources around us, we’ll build a woodland den to snuggle in and take shelter from the sun or rain. This is the perfect time for a little hot chocolate and a snack for the kids and a coffee for the parents!
